AI coaching
AI coach that turns one goal into a plan you follow every week
Pick the area you want to grow in, describe the goal in your own words, and your AI coach builds the roadmap, sets this week's tasks and follows up on them.
In short
An AI coach is software that guides you toward a specific goal over months, not minutes. It assesses where you start, writes a roadmap with monthly milestones, gives you three to five tasks each week, reviews the documents you actually produce and remembers every session, so each conversation continues from the last one instead of starting over.
A coach is defined by follow-up, not by clever answers
Most people who stall on a goal already know roughly what to do and lack three things: a sequence, a deadline and someone who asks on Friday whether it happened. That is the job of a coach, and it is the job AiMentoring is built around.
Every coaching relationship here follows the same loop. You state a goal and a horizon of 3, 6 or 12 months. Your coach asks 8 to 12 adaptive questions and draws a skill radar that scores each relevant skill from 0 to 5. From that baseline comes a roadmap, then weekly tasks with due dates, then sessions, reviews of your material and a weekly progress score. When you miss tasks, the coach asks why and adjusts the plan. Once a month the whole roadmap is corrected from what really happened.
- Memory that lasts. Each session is summarised into facts, wins, blockers and preferences that your coach reads before the next conversation.
- A plan with evidence. Milestones say what you should be able to show at the end of the month, not only what to study.
- Accountability by email. A Friday check-in arrives during your business hours and asks about the specific tasks you committed to.
- Work reviewed, not imagined. You upload a CV, a deck, a transcript or a code snippet and get inline comments against a rubric.
Nine coaching areas, each with its own methods
A general coach that knows a little about everything tends to give general advice. Instead, AiMentoring has nine specialised AI mentors. Each one is a fictional persona with a consistent style and a fixed set of established frameworks, so the coaching on a sales call sounds nothing like the coaching on a system design question. You can open the page of any coach for the full picture.

What the first week with an AI coach looks like
Take a product designer who writes "move into a lead designer role within a year". On day one Jonah, the career coach, asks about her current scope, the size of the team, what the lead role means at her company and how her last review went. The skill radar shows strong craft (4 of 5), weaker stakeholder management (2 of 5) and almost no evidence of mentoring others (1 of 5).
Her roadmap opens with a first milestone of "map the lead role and close the most visible gap". Week one has four tasks: get the written expectations for the lead level from her manager, list three projects from the last six months with measurable outcomes, ask one peer for feedback on how she runs design reviews, and book a 30 minute conversation with a current lead. On Friday the check-in email asks about each one. Two are done, one is waiting on her manager, one slipped. The next week's plan absorbs the slipped task and moves the stakeholder work forward.
How an AI coach compares with a human coach and a chatbot
Human coaches remain the right choice for many situations, especially when you need someone with lived experience in your exact industry or a relationship that carries weight in a room. They are also expensive: typical market rates sit between 150 and 500 USD per hour, and company coaching platforms often charge 3,000 USD or more per employee per year. A general chatbot is cheap but has no plan, no follow-up and usually no memory of last week. An AI coach sits between the two: structured, persistent and affordable enough to use every week. Plans and honest limits
There is no free plan. Before you pay you can run a one-time demo roadmap, no account needed: enter a goal, pick a coach, choose a horizon and level, and you see milestone one plus week one tasks. The full roadmap, sessions and reviews come with a subscription. Yearly billing is the default and costs exactly half of monthly.
Limits are monthly usage counters shown in your panel. Deleting a goal, a file or a session does not return anything to your allowance, and you get a prompt to upgrade at 80 percent of a counter. Full details are on the pricing page.
| Plan | Price billed yearly | Coaches | Active goals | Messages per month | Reviews per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | 24 USD per month (288 USD per year) | 2 of your choice | 1 | 300, up to 15 a day | 10, files up to 10 MB |
| Pro | 49 USD per month (588 USD per year) | All 9 | 5 | 900, up to 40 a day | 30, files up to 25 MB |
| Teams | 12 USD per seat per month, minimum 10 seats | All 9 plus company tracks | 2 per seat | 200 per seat | 4 per seat |
Who should use an AI coach, and who should not
It fits professionals with a concrete goal and a horizon of a few months: a promotion, a new role, a first management job, a quota, a startup milestone, a language level. It also fits companies that want every employee to have a coach rather than only senior leaders; see AI coaching for employees for the HR side, where the panel shows only anonymous aggregates for groups of five or more.
It does not replace a lawyer, a doctor, a financial adviser or a therapist, and it does not give professional advice in those fields. If you are dealing with a mental health crisis, contact your local emergency services. If you want someone to do the work for you, a coach is the wrong tool: you do the tasks, the coach keeps the plan honest.
How to start with an AI coach
- 01
Write the goal in one sentence
Make it specific and time bound, for example "become a team lead within 12 months" rather than "grow my career".
- 02
Choose the coaching area
Pick the coach whose methods match the goal. Career goals usually start with Jonah, interviews with Nora, people management with Grace.
- 03
Answer the level assessment
Eight to twelve adaptive questions produce a skill radar from 0 to 5 that becomes your baseline.
- 04
Review the roadmap
Check the monthly milestones and the evidence each one asks for. Tell the coach what is unrealistic before week one starts.
- 05
Do the weekly tasks and answer the check-in
Three to five tasks arrive each week. Reply to the Friday check-in honestly so the plan can adjust.
How the options compare

| Reviews your real documents | Yes, against a framework rubric | Yes, within session time | Only text pasted into one chat |
| Industry relationships and introductions | No | Often | No |
Questions about the AI coach
What is the difference between an AI coach and an AI mentor?
People use the words interchangeably. On this site a coach and a mentor do the same thing: set a goal with you, plan it, follow up and review your work. Some of our pages say coach because that is the common term in that field, such as sales or leadership.
Can I use more than one coach?
Yes. The Personal plan lets you pick two coaches, for example career and interview. Pro gives you all nine and up to five active goals at the same time.
Is the AI coach a real person?
No. Each coach is a fictional AI persona with a name and a consistent style, built on established public frameworks. None of them claims personal experience or credentials.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. AiMentoring is a web app that runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, with nothing to install.
What happens to my data?
Your sessions and uploads are used to coach you. On company plans, HR sees only aggregated numbers for groups of at least five people and never your conversations, files or individual scores. More on the security page.
Can I cancel?
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are final; the details are in the refund policy.
