Sales mentor
AI sales coach that works your pipeline with you every week
Maya, your AI sales coach, turns a quota target into weekly tasks, reviews the calls and decks you actually send, and drills the objections that keep stalling your deals.

In short
An AI sales coach is software that coaches a sales rep the way a strong front-line manager would: it sets a pipeline plan from your quota, reviews call notes and proposals against a methodology such as MEDDICC or SPIN, runs role-play drills with scoring and follows up on every task you committed to.
Your quota becomes pipeline math and weekly tasks
Most reps know their number and not much else. Maya starts from the target and works backwards. Tell her your quarterly quota, your average deal size, your win rate and your typical cycle length, and she calculates how much qualified pipeline you need and by when. A rep with a 300,000 USD quarter, a 25,000 USD average deal and a 25 percent win rate needs 48 qualified opportunities in play, so the first question is whether the current pipeline covers that and where the gap sits.
From that gap she writes the week. Instead of "prospect more", you get three to five tasks with a due date, such as five discovery calls booked with accounts in the 200 to 1,000 employee range, two stalled deals re-engaged with a new business case, and one mutual action plan agreed with a champion. On Friday she checks in by email during your business hours and asks what happened.
| Input you give | What Maya calculates | What lands in your week |
|---|---|---|
| Quota 300,000 USD per quarter | Required pipeline at a 25 percent win rate is 1,200,000 USD | A pipeline coverage check every Monday |
| Average deal 25,000 USD | 48 qualified opportunities needed | Booked discovery calls per week to reach the count |
| Cycle length 60 days | Deals must be qualified by week 4 to close in quarter | Deadline for MEDDICC fields on each new deal |
| Win rate by stage | The stage where most deals die | One drill per week on that stage |
MEDDICC and SPIN applied to your real deals, not to theory
Maya coaches with methods sales leaders already recognise. For qualification she uses MEDDICC: metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process, paper process, identified pain and champion. For discovery she uses SPIN questioning: situation, problem, implication and need-payoff. The difference from a training course is that every framework is applied to deals you are working on this month.
Paste the notes from yesterday's call and she marks which MEDDICC fields are confirmed, which are assumed and which are missing, then drafts the three questions you should ask next time to close the gaps. If the economic buyer is still a guess after two meetings, she says so plainly and moves that deal down in your forecast.
- Discovery to close. A stage by stage checklist of what must be true before you move a deal forward.
- Pipeline math. Coverage, stage conversion and expected value recalculated whenever you update your numbers.
- Objection drills. Price, timing, "we already have a tool" and "send me something" practised until your answer is short and specific.
- Champion building. How to test whether your contact can sell internally, and what to give them so they can.
Upload the call, the deck or the proposal and get line by line comments
Material review is where most of the progress happens. You can upload a call transcript, a discovery summary, a proposal, a pitch deck or a cold email sequence. Maya comments inline against a sales rubric: did you quantify the pain, did you confirm the decision process, does the proposal lead with the buyer's metric or with your feature list, is there a clear next step with a date.
Each review ends with a score per rubric line and the two changes that would make the biggest difference. On the Personal plan you get 10 reviews a month with files up to 10 MB, on Pro 30 reviews with files up to 25 MB. Reviews are counted when they run, so deleting a file later does not return the review to your allowance.
| What you upload | What the rubric checks |
|---|---|
| Call transcript or notes | Talk to listen balance, depth of pain questions, next step agreed with a date |
| Proposal or business case | Buyer metric in the first paragraph, quantified impact, risks addressed, clear price logic |
| Pitch deck | Story order, one idea per slide, proof that is real and checkable |
| Outbound email sequence | Relevance in the first line, one ask per email, length, follow-up spacing |
Role-play drills give you reps before the real call
On Pro, Teams and Enterprise you can run sales role-play drills. Maya plays the buyer you describe, for example a cautious operations director at a 400 person logistics company who already uses a competitor. She pushes back the way real buyers do, then scores your run on discovery depth, objection handling, clarity of value and control of the next step.
Running the same drill three times in a week and watching the score move is the fastest way to fix one weak spot. The drill history stays in your progress view, next to your skill radar for prospecting, discovery, qualification, negotiation, closing and pipeline management.
A 12 month plan from account executive to sales leader
Many reps use Maya for more than quota. If your goal is a promotion, she builds a longer roadmap with milestones per month and the evidence to collect for each one, so that when promotion time comes you have numbers and examples instead of a feeling. Pair her with Grace, the AI leadership coach, once you start mentoring other reps. The full version of this plan is in our guide on becoming Head of Sales in 12 months.
| Months | Milestone | Evidence to collect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | Hit 100 percent of quota with MEDDICC complete on every deal | Quota attainment, forecast accuracy within 10 percent |
| 4 to 6 | Run a repeatable discovery process and coach one newer rep | Recorded playbook, the newer rep's ramp numbers |
| 7 to 9 | Own a segment or a key account plan | Segment pipeline growth, account plan reviewed by your manager |
| 10 to 12 | Lead pipeline reviews and build the case for the role | Promotion packet with results, team impact and a 90 day plan |
Who Maya is for, and what she does not do
Maya fits account executives, SDRs moving to closing roles, founders who sell, and account managers responsible for renewals and expansion. She is an AI mentor, a fictional persona built on established sales methods, not a person with a personal track record. She does not log into your CRM, send emails on your behalf or call your prospects. You do the selling, she makes sure every week has a plan and that the plan gets checked.
Sales managers who want this for a whole team should look at sales coaching software for teams, where seats start at 25 USD per rep per month and the manager sees anonymous team trends, not individual conversations.

Questions about the AI sales coach
Can an AI sales coach really improve my numbers?
It improves the inputs you control: qualified pipeline, discovery depth, follow-up discipline and how you handle the same objections. Numbers move when those inputs move and you keep doing the weekly tasks. Maya tracks both, so you can see which habit changed before the result did.
Which sales methodology does Maya use?
Qualification follows MEDDICC and discovery follows SPIN questioning. If your company uses a different method, tell her in the first session and she adapts the rubric. On Enterprise, companies upload their own playbook so coaching matches the internal process.
Does it connect to my CRM?
No. You paste notes, upload transcripts or type your pipeline numbers. That keeps the setup to a few minutes and means no customer database is copied anywhere. Many reps paste a weekly pipeline export as a file for review.
Is my call data private?
Your uploads and conversations are used only to coach you. On company plans, managers and HR see aggregated trends for groups of five or more people, never your conversations, files or individual scores. Details are on the security page.
What do role-play drills cost?
Drills are included in Pro, Teams and Enterprise and count toward your monthly message allowance. They are not part of the Personal plan.
What happens if I miss a week?
Maya notices missing check-ins, asks what got in the way and adjusts the plan. If a month goes badly, the monthly plan correction reshapes the next milestone instead of pretending nothing happened.
