The short version: every AiMentoring payment is final, and money goes back only in the three situations described in section 3. Before paying, you can generate a one-time demo roadmap without an account, which shows you exactly how a goal turns into a milestone and a week of tasks. You can also cancel your renewal at any time from your account settings.
1. What you pay for
An AiMentoring plan is a monthly or yearly subscription that gives you access to the service for that period, with the mentors, active goals and monthly allowances listed on the pricing page. There are no credits and no pay per use charges. The fee buys access for the period, and that access is made available in full when the period starts, whether you open the app every day or not at all.
What a plan contains is described on the pricing page, and the demo shows the format of the output, so you can see what you are buying before you buy it. If you no longer want the service, cancelling stops every future charge.
2. Situations we do not refund
None of the following leads to a full or partial refund:
- changing your mind, finishing your goal early or no longer needing a mentor,
- not using the service, or using less of the allowance than you expected, during a paid period,
- forgetting to cancel before a renewal date, or cancelling shortly after a renewal has been charged,
- assuming a plan was a one-time purchase, although every plan is a recurring subscription and this is shown at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account,
- being unhappy with the tone, depth, wording or accuracy of AI output, since AI responses vary and the demo exists so you can judge the format first,
- expecting a feature that is not described on the pricing page, or expecting it to work differently from the description,
- choosing the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats,
- seats on a Teams or Enterprise plan that were bought but not assigned or not used,
- the remainder of a period after you cancel or downgrade, because access continues until the period ends and is never split into smaller parts,
- a renewal collected after earlier failed attempts, because the period had already started (see section 5),
- files that could not be reviewed because they were corrupted, password protected, unreadable or above your plan's size limit,
- use of your account by someone else, including where you shared your sign-in details,
- suspension or closure of an account for a breach of our Terms of Service.
3. The only exceptions
We refund only in one of the cases below, only when the facts can be confirmed from our records and those of our payment operator, and only up to the amount of the affected charge.
- Duplicate charge. A fault in our billing charged you twice for the same plan and period.
- Proven unauthorised charge. Someone used your card without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the transaction and account records support that. A statement alone does not decide the matter, the records do. We may ask you to confirm that you have also reported the card misuse to your card issuer.
- Total service failure. A confirmed fault on our side made the whole service unusable for you for a continuous period, you reported it to us while it was happening, and we could not fix it. Slow responses, a single feature misbehaving, and problems with your own device, browser, connection or files do not count.
A granted refund goes back only to the original payment method, is limited to what you actually paid for the affected period and settles the matter in full. One refund does not create a right to another.
4. Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law gives you a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. That right does not continue once the service has started if, at checkout, you expressly asked for access to begin immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal as a result.
Our checkout asks for that request and acknowledgement. So when you subscribe with that consent, your right of withdrawal lapses the moment your access starts. If for any reason you subscribed without giving that consent, you can withdraw within 14 days of the purchase by emailing us as described in section 5, and we will refund you in line with the law, reduced in proportion to any service already provided at your request.
This section adds to the rights you have under mandatory law and does not restrict them.
5. How to ask for a refund
Send your request by email to [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. Requests made after 14 days, or through any other channel, are not considered.
Please write from the email address of the account and include:
- the date and amount of the charge,
- the invoice or receipt number, if you have it,
- which of the cases in section 3 or section 4 you rely on, and a short description of what happened.
We review requests in the order they arrive and reply by email. If we need more information to check a request against section 3, we ask for it. We do not reopen requests that have been declined.
6. Cancelling, renewals and failed payments
You can cancel at any time in your account settings without writing to us. Cancelling switches off all future renewals straight away, and you keep access until the end of the period already paid. Cancelling is not a refund request.
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. As soon as a new period begins, access for that whole period is granted and payment for it is due. If the renewal charge fails, it remains due, and our payment operator retries it over the following days. A retry is a further attempt to collect the same unpaid invoice, not an additional charge. Cancelling after a period has begun stops the renewals that follow it, but it does not cancel the amount for the period already under way, even if that amount is collected some days after the renewal date. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the renewal date shown in your account.
7. What we keep on record
When you create an account you accept our Terms of Service, which include this Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. Before you pay, checkout shows the plan, the price, the billing period and the automatic renewal. Your confirmation email and your account repeat that information.
For each subscription we keep the date and time of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms and your consent to immediate access, the emails sent to you about the purchase and renewals, and a log of activity on the account (sign-ins, goals created, sessions held, files reviewed) with the technical details recorded alongside each event. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each transaction, including the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. These are the records we check a claim against, and a claim must be consistent with them.
8. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please write to [email protected] first so we can review it under this policy. Starting a chargeback without contacting us breaches our Terms of Service. If a chargeback is opened, we send the records described in section 7 to your card issuer and may close the account permanently. This does not limit any right you have under mandatory law to dispute a payment you did not authorise.
