Second Nature AI Pricing and Cheaper Sales Roleplay Options

/6 min read

Second Nature does not publish its pricing. Every deal goes through a demo and a quote. Third-party purchase data puts a typical contract at about 19,000 USD a year, and a competitor's review cites a rate of 50 USD per active user per month, which works out to roughly 30,000 USD a year for 50 reps who practice every month. If you want scored sales roleplay for a team of 10 to 50 reps at a price you can read today, an AI sales coach at 12 to 25 USD per seat per month is the cheaper route.

Type a goal such as "stop losing deals to the price objection", and the sales mentor builds month one, this week's tasks and the first roleplay drill.

This article is for the person who signs: a sales enablement lead, a VP of sales or a RevOps manager who has a Second Nature proposal in the inbox, or is about to book the demo, and wants to know whether the number is reasonable and what else does the job. We cover what Second Nature sells, what buyers report paying, how to estimate your own total and when a different tool fits better.

Second Nature AI pricing at a glance

Second Nature lists no plans or rates on its website. The only path to a price is the Book a Demo button, and review directories such as Capterra and TrustRadius show no starting price either. Here is what is publicly known, with the source of each figure. None of these numbers come from Second Nature itself, so treat them as a starting point for negotiation, not a quote.

Data pointFigureSource
Median annual contract19,000 USD per yearVendr purchase data
Reported range19,000 to 26,700 USD per yearVendr purchase data
Usage rate50 USD per credit, one credit equals one active user for one monthReview published by Outdoo, a competing vendor
Estimated seat price30 to 40 USD per seat per monthOutdoo estimate, not confirmed by Second Nature
Estimated minimumAbout 20,000 USD per yearOutdoo estimate, not confirmed by Second Nature

The pattern is consistent: Second Nature is a five figure annual contract for a mid-size sales team, priced by how many people are active each month.

What you get for the money

Second Nature is one of the best-known AI roleplay platforms for sales teams, and the product is more than a chatbot. Reps practice with an AI buyer persona in chat, voice or a video avatar, across scenarios such as discovery calls, cold calls, objection handling and product demos. Enablement teams can build scenarios from a script, a deck or a recorded call, bundle them into courses with quizzes and run certifications. Managers get dashboards of team scores.

  • Integrations. Any LMS through SCORM or LTI, SAML single sign-on, conference tools and CRM connections, including a Salesforce AppExchange listing.
  • Languages. Practice in more than 30 languages.
  • Deal Coach. AI guidance on live deals that flags risks and next steps.
  • Customers. The site names Oracle NetSuite, GoHealth, Calix, United Rentals and Zoom.

If your team needs voice and video practice, certification tracking inside your LMS and a library of enterprise scenarios, that feature set explains the price.

How much does Second Nature cost for 50 reps?

Using the publicly reported figures, a 50 rep team that practices every month lands somewhere between 19,000 and 30,000 USD a year. Here is the same team on AiMentoring, using the prices on our pricing page.

Scenario for 50 repsAnnual costWhat is included
Second Nature, 50 active users at 50 USD a month (reported rate)About 30,000 USDChat, voice and video roleplay, courses, certifications, LMS and CRM links
Second Nature, median contract (Vendr)About 19,000 USDDepends on the negotiated scope
AiMentoring Teams, billed yearly (144 USD per seat)7,200 USDScored roleplay drills, weekly pipeline plan, call note and proposal reviews, manager trends
AiMentoring Teams, billed monthly (25 USD per seat)15,000 USDSame features, cancel any month

A 10 rep pilot on Teams monthly billing costs 250 USD a month, small enough for most sales leaders to approve on a card without procurement.

Is Second Nature worth the price?

For large teams with a dedicated enablement function, often yes. If you onboard dozens of new reps a quarter, need certifications recorded in your LMS and want reps to practice out loud with a realistic voice or video buyer, Second Nature does that well and its case studies come from big sales organizations. The cost per rep matters less when one faster ramp pays for the year.

The math gets harder for a team of 10 to 50 reps without an enablement lead. Someone has to build and maintain the scenarios, and roleplay alone does not tell a rep what to do with the rest of the week. Many teams in that range want one tool that runs the drill and also plans the pipeline work, reviews the follow-up email and checks on Friday whether the rep did it. That is the gap a per-seat AI sales coach fills, and the sales coaching software page shows how that looks for a whole team.

What is a cheaper alternative to Second Nature?

The options split into roleplay-first platforms with enterprise pricing and coaching platforms that include roleplay at a published price.

How AiMentoring roleplay works for a sales team

Each rep starts with a goal tied to their number, for example "raise discovery to proposal conversion from 20 to 30 percent this quarter". A level assessment of 8 to 12 questions finds the weak stage, and Maya, the AI sales coach, builds a monthly plan with three to five tasks a week. On Pro, Teams and Enterprise the rep runs scored roleplay drills: they describe the buyer, for example a cautious operations director at a 400 person logistics company who already uses a competitor, and Maya plays that buyer. Each answer is scored on discovery depth, objection handling, clarity of value and next step control, with the two things to fix named after every reply.

Reps can also paste call notes or a proposal and get it reviewed against MEDDICC or SPIN. The sales leader sees anonymous trends for groups of five or more, never an individual rep's chat or scores, which is why reps keep running the hard drills. The AI sales coach page walks through a full first month.

Be clear about the trade-off. AiMentoring roleplay is text-based. It has no voice or video avatar and no SCORM export to your LMS. If out-loud practice is the main requirement, Second Nature or a voice-first tool is the better buy. And if the real bottleneck is that nobody is making enough dials, practice will not fix it; that is a job for AI cold calling that books the meetings your reps then run.

Does Second Nature offer a free trial?

Second Nature offers a few free sample roleplays on its website, such as a discovery call and an objection handling scenario, and some directories list a free trial. A team rollout still goes through a demo and a quote. AiMentoring lets you try the planning step on the AI sales coach page without an account, and Teams seats start on monthly billing with a 10 seat minimum.

Questions to ask Second Nature before you sign

  • Is pricing per credit, per seat or a flat platform fee, and what is the annual minimum?
  • Are voice and video avatars included, or priced as add-ons?
  • Who builds the first scenarios, and is that work included?
  • Do unused credits roll over at the end of the term?
  • What do managers see, and can reps practice without their scores being visible?

Bring the answers to a side by side with a 30 day pilot of 10 reps on an AI sales coach. If one team grows into a head of sales track, the head of sales in 12 months plan shows what the longer roadmap looks like.
